The Sandringham Estate includes many villages and hamlets as well as parts of surrounding communities.

The core of these are the villages of West Newton (the largest) and Wolferton, and hamlets of Anmer, Babingley, Sandringham and Shernborne. Of these, only West Newton supports a shop and a primary school, and from March 2019 a post office van will visit twice weekly. There are churches and other places of worship in Anmer, Babingley, Flitcham, Sandringham, West Newton and Wolferton, although in most of these services are held only monthly.

The parish of Sandringham includes the villages of West Newton and Wolferton and the hamlets of Babingley and Sandringham. Eight tenant farmers rent 4000 hectares from the estate and a number of businesses rent premises and land.
